Trust your intuition, Improve your health & Step into your true witchy self

Imagine what your life would look like...

*if you started actually practicing witchcraft and stopped hoarding books and tarot cards that you never use

*if you started building friendships with other witches and spiritual beings - people who just get you and what you do

*if you felt safe and excited to talk about your beliefs with your friends and family

*if you released anxiety and were able to make decisions from a place of knowing instead of worry

*if you started listening to your body instead of to what the latest fad was telling you to do to be healthy

Our Next Ritual is On Dec. 21st for Yule

our bodies have evolved along side of nature for centuries and we are primed to operate our best when we maintain that connection

In just 30 minutes of being outdoors:

  • our stress hormones are lower
  • our feel good hormones are higher
  • our blood pressure is lower
  • we are more in tune with our bodies
  • we are less likely to experience anxiety symptoms

After 3 hours outside we:

  • experience a boost in our immune system that lasts for weeks
  • have exchanged ions with the environment and returned to equilibrium

Living with the cycles of nature:

  • helps our bodies perform optimally by tuning into our changing needs each season
  • helps us feel connected to the collective

And living in alignment with our identity and beliefs, keeps us feeling truly alive.

nature rests & so must we

Just like nature, we are not meant to constantly be performing and producing. Throughout the Wheel of the Year Ritual Program we will be taking time to tune into this cycle of productivity and rest so that you are able to nurture your inner magic and harness it without running yourself ragged.

not all adventures need to be somewhere far away

Don’t get me wrong, I love to travel. I love national parks - both in the US and abroad. But sometimes the most magical adventures are the everyday ones. Sitting in the same spot of your backyard watching the same tree change all throughout the year. Seeing baby animals grow, leaves change color, and flowers come and go. The intimate knowledge we can develop of the spaces that we experience day after day is arguably more powerful than what we learn during those far away adventures.

connecting with nature & cultivating a relationship of reciprocity with the wild world helps us deepen our connections with ourselves & our inner power

The Wheel of the Year Program will help you:

  • Integrate nature and working with Mother Earth into your personal practice (and help you find your own personal practice if you're just starting out)

  • Develop a reciprocal relationship with nature vs. only viewing nature as a commodity for you to take and take from

  • Strengthen your inner magic and power by tapping into the power of the earth and the land that we all come from

  • Find self-efficacy in your abilities as a witch and spiritual being so that you can talk about it with the important people in your life, should you choose to take that step

  • Create your own version of the wheel of the year to guide your practice and keep you connected to the spirit of nature after your year in the program has come full circle

What you'll get:

  • 8 Virtual Sabbat Celebrations - We'll get together via Zoom for a forest bathing walk to help us connect to nature and to the energies of that season and then I guide you through a ritual to celebrate and harness those energies

  • Access to a private group channel where you can ask questions, celebrate wonders & wins, and view the additional materials:

    • Expansion prompts for before and after the rituals to continue adding layers to the work

    • Rituals that coincide with the cosmos because yea, that's another part of nature that we can tap into

    • Guided hedge flight/shamanic journeys to dig deeper into your journey as a witch
  • A grimoire specifically for this program so that you can house everything in one place and have an easy reference as you create your own wheel of the year

Forest bathing refers to the immersion we experience when in a forest or when around trees. While forest bathing, we experience physical, emotional, and mental health benefits due to our close evolution with nature. In the way I was trained, forest bathing is also a relational experience that we have as humans with the more than human world - trees, plants, animals etc. And when tied into my practice as an animist and pagan, forest bathing is an opportunity to connect to the spirits that reside within nature and the being there.

As a guide it is not my role to prescribe the experiences and learnings that you will have while on your walks, but rather it is my role to open the doors to the possibilities and then let the forest be the therapist. I will lead you to your edges where you have the opportunity to experience things you may otherwise shy away from on your own. Participants of guided forest bathing walks report more change around their emotions and processing them than participants on walks with out guides.

To get the benefits of the embodiment activities or to complete the rituals that we do at the end of the walks? NOPE! You can still experience benefits if you participate indoors. During COVID-19 shutdowns, many guides and ANFT as an organization had to make the shift to virtual indoors programming (as did most people and businesses). They found that the benefits of the invitations and the connections with fellow participants stood the test of both virtual & indoor walks.

Now you also technically don't even need to be outside to get some of the health benefits. The volatile organic compounds from trees like pine trees are what provide a good amount of the health benefits we see from forest bathing. This means that adding drops of high quality essential oils to a steam bowl or to a diffuser can also provide you with the same benefits. With that said, the act of being outside does provide unique benefits - touching the earth with our bodies has been found to help decrease stress levels, having open space above ourselves (like no ceiling) has been shown to lower anxiety, and our nervous system has also been shown to relax around the sights and sounds of nature.

All elements and conditions provide support and offer challenges for each of us. I believe that there is a connection to be made in each of these as well. Being out in the rain has always provided me a feeling of renewal and snow has always helped me feel calm and increase my introspection.

I will be outside as much as possible during the forest bathing walks and rituals, however I will always prioritize my safety and suggest you do as well.

Witchcraft has always been an energetic practice and in many cultures is tied to herbalism practices and health and wellness. Many witches use herbs, crystals, and the elements in their practices and I personally believe that by deepening your connection and building reciprocal relationships with nature, you are strengthening your power and the foundation of your magic.

The collective energy that is tied to nature and the spirits that reside there cannot be removed from the energies that we seek to use and manipulate with our spells and manifestations. It is all one.

Forest bathing does not require that you go out on your own to the middle of nowhere (though I won't stop you if you feel confident and safe!), and our walks can be done in your backyard, neighborhood, local park, or other outdoor space where you feel comfortable.

Forest bathing is not about reaching a destination, but instead is about the experience, so you don't need be someone who camps or can start a fire on your own.

Hanna Foster

Over the last 9 years, Hanna has been a health & wellness professional from 9-5 but she has been a lover of nature for as long as she can remember. Having traveled to at least one new to her national park since 2019, Hanna is an advocate for being outdoors, making the outdoors accessible to as many people as possible, & keeping nature wild. With 14 national parks under her belt, she has experienced the wonder that comes from the desert to caves and old growth forests and wants to make sure that others have the opportunities to experience that wonder of nature as well. Since beginning her journey on the path of witchcraft, paganism, & animism, Hanna discovered that living in tandem with the cycle of nature left her feeling more aligned and in touch with herself and her magic which inspired the Wheel of the Year Ritual Program. As a soon to be certified forest therapy guide with the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy, Hanna believes in the importance of reciprocity with the More Than Human world and guides others on their own journeys of developing a reciprocal relationship with nature.
